Physics

What will I learn?

  • to use computer modelling of physical and chemical processes occurring in condensed environments
  • to apply laser technologies and computer modelling in medicine
  • to carry out forensic analysis of substances
  • to analyse physical processes in composite materials using neural networks
  • to carry out computer diagnostics and optimise the use of medical devices
  • to apply basic methods of physicochemical research of materials in condensed state
  • to process and analyse the obtained results for medical visualisation
  • to use basic programming languages and specialised software packages in professional activities

Advantages of the programme

Preparation for solving problems in different areas of medical physics, such as:

  • biomedical optics
  • optoelectronics
  • research of interaction of laser radiation with turbid media
  • development of measuring and computing complexes for the needs of laser medicine
  • development and creation of medical equipment based on laser technology

Preparation for solving problems in different areas of condensed matter physics: modelling how stable different types of nanostructured materials are, studying how the structure of materials affects their properties when they are in a solid state, and doing experiments depending on the state of the materials being studied.

Preparation for solving problems in different areas of fundamental physics:

  • modelling the effects of femtosecond lasers and intense radiation flows on metals and alloys
  • conducting experiments on how materials change shape and break
  • analysing physical processes in composite materials using neural networks
  • using statistical software packages to study close double stars
  • modelling the processes of interstellar medium physics
  1. Opportunity to obtain a military speciality
  2. Lecturers are current employees of leading medical institutions of the region
  3. Training in specialised disciplines in small academic groups
  4. Taboratories for scientific experiments and research
  5. Participation in innovative scientific research with additional grants to scholarships
  6. Internship at leading enterprises and subsequent employment of all graduates

Who will I be?

  • a physical engineer
  • an industrial physicist
  • a specialist in the use of laser equipment in medical institutions of the city and region
  • a medical physicist in oncological centres
  • a forensic scientist
  • a physicist programmer
  • a programmer of operating systems for medical installations
  • a laboratory technician
