About the rector of CSU

Born on March 3, 1977 in Chelyabinsk in a family of university professors. Graduated from the physics and mathematics class of Lyceum No. 11 in Chelyabinsk, and then graduated from the Department of Physics of Chelyabinsk State University. In 2003 defended his PhD thesis in condensed matter physics, in 2012 - his doctoral thesis in condensed matter physics.

  • 2004 - Deputy Vice-Rector for Research Affairs, Innovation and Information Technologies, First Vice-Rector - Vice-Rector for Research Affairs at CSU.
  • 2007 - Associate Professor at the Department of Condensed State Physics, Faculty of Physics, CSU.
  • 2007 - Dean of the Faculty of Physics, CSU.
  • 2014 - Professor of the Condensed State Physics Department, Faculty of Physics, CSU.

His research interests include condensed state physics, physics of magnetic phenomena, physics of metals and alloys. Author of 250 scientific articles in refereed press (158 of them - Scopus), 3 patents and 4 educational and methodical works. Hirsch index is 23.

Patents: utility model patent No. 108826 "Magnetocaloric refrigerator", invention patent No. 2454614 "Magnetocaloric refrigerator", Utility model patent No. 105053 "Vehicle driving control system".

He is a member of professional communities: International Magnetic Cooling Working Party (France), Russian Magnetic Society (Russia), IEEE Society (USA), Materials Research Society (USA), ASM International Society (USA), TMS – The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (USA), Member of the Federal Register of Experts of Scientific and Technicaltechnical information of the RINCCE Research Institute (Russia).

Reviewer of international scientific periodicals included in the Scopus and Web of Science indexing: International Journal of Refrigeration, IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, Physica Status Solidi, Materials Chemistry and Physics, Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Journal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism.

He has diplomas and medals for scientific developments at more than 15 international and Russian exhibitions. Since 2001, he has been the executor and head of more than 30 R&D grants from various organizations, including three grants from the President of the Russian Federation for young scientists, candidates and doctors of sciences. Currently, he directs the international grant of the RNF-Helmholtz (Russia-Germany). Awards: Magnetics Society of Japan award for young scientists, Swiss National Science Foundation award for young scientists, Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

Honorary Worker of education of the Russian Federation.

He is married and has three sons.
