About the Institute

For more than ten years, the Institute of Information Technologies has been training personnel with unique and in-demand skills in Software Engineering, Business Informatics, and Applied Informatics.

The curricula developed jointly with employers allow studying current programming languages, and the sequence of material delivery guarantees maximum efficiency of training for potential employees of IT companies, specialists in demand in the conditions of crisis, optimisation and development of enterprises. The specialised subjects are taught by employers, who prepare graduates ‘for themselves’. IIT partners include not only private companies, but also large enterprises: Intersvyaz, Tinkoff Development Centre LLC, Napoleon IT, digital agency Xpage, ByndyuSoft, fuse8 and 3divi. The advantage of studying at IIT is project work: students from different courses and areas of study gather in teams and create products, which they later implement, bringing them to the market and self-sufficiency. Most of the requests for such projects, as well as for final qualification works, come from large private enterprises.

IIT students regularly participate in start-up competitions where they create their own projects and win grants for them. This is helped not only by teachers, but also by the institute's developed infrastructure. The new format iLab, where specialised software is installed, allows students to develop new products, simulate business processes and information protection systems against various kinds of attacks. The robotics laboratory helps in mastering new intellectual technologies. Here students create their own robots, learn 3D-design, construct quadrocopters. The Laboratory of Machine Learning and Intelligent Data Analysis implements projects on fundamental scientific research in the field of natural language text analysis using deep neural networks and applied aspects of decision-making support based on the analysis of educational content, social networks and the study of labour market trends.

Graduates are engaged in the development and use of information technologies in business, applying their skills in computer science, economics and management. They work as system architects, system integrators, business analysts, software quality management specialists, IT managers, IT consultants, IT project managers, SEO and SMM specialists, IT services specialists, business development specialists, web designers, analysts, programmers, mobile application developers, internet marketers, computer network designers. They are welcome in computing and R&D centres, research units and software development departments of IT companies, industrial enterprises, financial institutions, educational institutions and public authorities.
