Chinese students to study Russian and Literature at Chelyabinsk State University

Students of Heilongjiang International University (Harbin, China) have arrived to CSU. They will study at the Faculty of Linguistics and Translation within the academic year.

The arrival of Chinese students became possible thanks to the agreement on the network form of implementation of the educational programme ‘Russian Language and Literature’, signed by the heads of the two universities in early October.

Students will study the specialised disciplines of the faculty, such as the Culture of Speech, Lexicology, Theory and Practice of Translation, Business and Intercultural Communication, as well as the Russian language, Russian History and Culture. The results of interim certification at Chelyabinsk State University will be re-credited at their home university.

‘Chelyabinsk State University is one of the most powerful universities in Russia, which has educational resources and rich academic resources. It has advanced teaching equipment, a rich library collection, and provides comprehensive knowledge and practical experience. It is also a great place to learn local customs and understand Russian culture.’  said a third-year student Huang Huiling.

Chinese guests will be accompanied by volunteer students of 3rd-5th year at the Faculty of Linguistics and Translation. Our students have already held a welcome meeting in Chinese for their new groupmates and handed out commemorative postcards with Russian symbols.
