CSU professors support a global view of English language teaching

Alina Epimakhova, Head of the Department of Oriental and Romano-Germanic Languages of the Faculty of Eurasia and East, and Associate Professor Svetlana Sannikova took part in the VII Global English Education China Assembly and Education Collaboration and Exchange Conference in China, where they discussed the prospects of English language learning.

The Belt and Road initiative, of which Russia is a participant, was given a new sense of urgency at the VI Global English Education China Assembly conference in 2023 as part of the Belt and Road Forum for Language and Culture Collaboration and in 2024 at the Zhuhai Education Collaboration and Exchange Conference. The conference aims to create a two-way platform for communication between Chinese universities and foreign educational institutions.

Alina Epimakhova, Head of the Department of Oriental and Romano-Germanic Languages of the Faculty of Eurasia and East was among the professionals in the field of global education, colleagues from Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and other cities who participated in the discussion on the development of study abroad, international higher education and cooperation. Svetlana Sannikova  became a participant of the VII Global English Education China Assembly и Education Collaboration and Exchange Conference in China. Teachers of English from Russian universities took part in this assembly within the framework of the Memorandum signed between the National Association of English Language Teachers and China Daily 21st century. 

“The Assembly, like previous conferences, was aimed at strengthening ties and cooperation between China and other countries in the field of foreign language education, offering a global perspective on English language teaching,” commented Vera Budykina, Dean of the Faculty of Eurasia and East.
